DON CAMPBELL BAND EXCEEDS $25,000 GOAL FOR THE MAINE CANCER FOUNDATION!

Portland, Maine – The Flotilla to Fight Cancer Benefit Concert, held on Saturday, August 28th in Casco Bay was a smashing success in every way!
“Our goal was a lofty one… planets needed to align and many other logistics needed to be in place for this day to happen… This was a first-time event… we were unsure as to the day’s outcome, but we had to try.” states Campbell of the Don Campbell band.
With the help of many, whom Campbell personally thanks in his Facebook post of August 29th; this first-time concert-on-the-water fundraiser exceeded its goal of $25,000 raised for the Maine Cancer Foundation. Campbell credits his Mom, Cathy Campbell of Scarborough, who has been battling cancer and through a newly-developed chemo treatment, is currently winning the fight as inspiration for the fundraiser.
“If ever there was a showing of collective kindness and generosity, it was here” said Campbell.
On Thursday, September 16th, Campbell and band Mgr. Kristen DeQuattro, presented a check totaling $31,059 to the Maine Cancer Foundation. The Flotilla to Fight Cancer gofundme page will remain open for donations until December 31, 2021. https://www.gofundme.com/f/flotilla-to-fight-cancer-concert. Thanks are also given to Ray Ruby, Community Outreach Manager, and the team at the Maine Cancer Foundation in Falmouth, ME for their support of this effort.
